Founded by an association of local vineyard owners in 1838, the company took its name from Jean-Gabriel Monnet in 1897, who also gave the Salamander as emblem to the company. After Jean-Gabriel, the company was led by his son, Jean Monnet, who later became the father of the European Union.

Celebration of the 120th Anniversary of Jean Monnet

The events related to the 120th anniversary of the birth of Jean Monnet was an opportunity to recall that the inspiration of Europe began his career in the family business of cognac. The cognacs MONNET have wished to participate in creating a pitcher for the Birthday celebration. The spirits of the Cuvée Anniversary exclusively from Grande Champagne, rose the most prestigious Cognac and were aged in our cellars for 45 to 55 years. The notes of dried fruit and honey blend with flavors of flowers such as acacia and the syringe. It is a fine cognac with the roundness and exceptionally long finish, a cognac that we wanted the image of that to which we pay tribute today to the other open and generous.
